Our History
It is said that BOTTS TITLE COMPANY was founded in Brenham, TX, during the late 19th century. This fact is backed by the business’ oldest discovered record, dated 1883. Years later, the operations and leadership changed in 1990 when our current management acquired the company.
Meet Our Leader
Val Walters is our proud president and chief operating officer (COO). He is a passionate leader who has driven our company toward business growth and success since 1991.

Mr. Walters is also an attorney working with Betts, Walters & Mutscher, P.C. He has a successful law practice focusing on title and real estate law.
His Career Journey
Mr. Walters was originally a native of Sealy, TX. In 1990, he graduated from the University of Houston Law Center and moved to Brenham. Since then, he has held a key role in our company and the law firm he works with.
